About The Job
We are seeking a knowledgeable Junior Linux administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting your seniors with infrastructure and deployment assignments. You will work closely with our DevOps and Cloud infrastructure teams to ensure that our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist your seniors in configuring the company's products to meet the functional requirements including the configuration of functional areas and technical areas (e.g. integration interfaces, integration maps, web services, transport protocols, etc).
- Assist in troubleshooting and remediate issues impacting the integration, and operations of the infrastructure and systems.
- Installation of the base operating system, virtualization applications, cluster creations etc.
- Learn to write and deploy scripts(playbooks) in different environments to automate day-to-day operations.
- Maintain servers’ configuration, monitoring jobs, and infrastructure documentation across the cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc).
- Security event monitoring & assessment – Incident response & support and ensure that required logs from security devices and applications are configured & received and regularly monitored.
- You may be assigned other roles as and where organization needs.
What you Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with ONE year related experience.
- Considerable knowledge of the Linux operating system, installation and relevant tools.
- Considerable knowledge of virtualization, containerization and its tools installation.
- Knowledge of Managing incidents, checking the detailed logs, and monitoring tools such as SIEM, and ELK Stack is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google) is a plus.
- Knowledge of clustering technologies and Kubernetes is a plus.
